I will dominate 'serious fighter' Jake Paul - Joshua

Anthony Joshua and Jake Paul face-off

Anthony Joshua will face the American YouTuber in an eight round match which will be broadcast in real-time on the streaming platform.

Briton Joshua said he will "dominate completely" the American and "break" the American as the pair came face-to-face to build hype for the upcoming bout.

Former two-time unified boxing king Anthony Joshua faces social media star turned fighter Paul - in what is, on paper, a massive disparity - at Miami Kaseya Center on December 19th.

Fighter's Attitude

"I plan to damage his features and hurt his body. I aim to demonstrate my superiority," Joshua, 35, declared.

"I plan to overwhelm him. That's the boxer's mindset.

"I intend to really want to hurt him. That's my intention."

Respectful Interaction

Despite those words, a composed Anthony Joshua and social media star Paul - normally recognized for his dramatics - were respectful and kept it respectful with each other.

Paul rather targeted ex Joshua opponent Francis Ngannou and labeled him "a joke" after the Cameroonian turned down a fight offer.

Taking Aim at Tyson Fury

Anthony Joshua, meanwhile, targeted UK opponent Tyson Fury - and refused a million-pound wager 'Tyson Fury' claims he will make on a Paul win.

"Jake Paul is better than Fury - he's present here," the boxer said.

"I acknowledge that."

Legitimate Fighter

In spite of stating he plans to punish Paul, Anthony Joshua chose not to talk badly about his rival's pugilistic talent.

"Jake Paul is a credible opponent," he said.

Jake Paul's History

Jake Paul - who originally gained popularity on the Disney Channel - has mainly boxed mixed martial artists or faded names since turning professional.

He lost to British fighter Fury in 2023.

Financial Success

However, the relative newcomer continues to be one of the sport's greatest money-making draws, frequently receiving massive financial rewards.

Prediction and Confidence

The 28 year old predicted a knockout win in the fourth or fifth round and stated he would derail the much-anticipated Fury-Joshua bout, which is allegedly being planned for 2026.

"It will be my match with Fury in the coming year," Paul declared.

Physical Difference

As both boxers met for the traditional face-off, with their size difference evident, it emphasized just how improbable this entire matchup is - and how astonishing it is that the fight is truly happening.
